Five priorities that the Provincial Indigenous Youth & Family Circle (PIYFAC) identified for YWHO sites to actively work towards:

•    Ensuring all hubs access cultural awareness and trauma-informed care training that is

specific to meeting Indigenous population’s needs 
•    Collaborating with Indigenous organizations across Ontario to address the need for wrap-around services for Indigenous youth

that are culturally specific and relevant
•    Providing youth-centered supports such as access to traditional medicines and Indigenous-specific crisis supports

•    Broadening the understanding of the circle of care (for example, recognizing and establishing support from Elders, Aunties, and Uncles as part of the circle of care)

•    Increasing Indigenous representation among YWHO Provincial Office staff.
